Shadows of Time

by Aaron Gookin Published: September 11, 2025

The clock ticks softly in the air,
Moments drift, too light to bear.
Shadows lengthen, nights grow deep,
Dreams awaken while hearts still sleep.

A candle burns, its flame so small,
Yet bravely stands against the fall.
Each second whispers, “Do not delay,
Life is fleeting, make your way.”

Memories carved in silver streams,
Hope still hides in fragile dreams.
Though time may fade, and hours bend,
Its journey circles without end.
Embrace the now, let silence chime,
For we are but shadows of time.
We respect your privacy.
